What it does
Echo is the playback side of the voice archive. Every recording you've made through Whisper is one tap away — anytime, offline, forever.

Premium unlocks something rarer: upload a voice recording of a family member — someone still with you, or someone who isn't — and Echo can use that voice to narrate other stories and letters in the archive.
Imagine a grandfather's war letter, read in his own voice. A great-grandmother's migration story, told in hers. A child's bedtime journal, heard in the voice of the parent who's no longer there to read it.
This is a capability we hold with care. Voice cloning of a living person requires their consent, always. For someone who has passed, Echo surfaces a prompt for family acknowledgement before generating — a soft but explicit recognition that this is a powerful thing to do.
